Shifting With the Times

As Covid-19 continues to spread throughout the world, many of us are finding ourselves in new situations. We’re working from home, trying to adjust to remote learning, and looking for ways to stay connected while being socially distant. For some, blogging has been a great way to express their thoughts and stay connected with the world. But for others, it can be overwhelming. At work, I find myself sitting in front of my computer more than ever, and clicking from meeting to meeting all day. That’s why I’m taking a break from blogging during Covid. It’s not that I don’t enjoy writing about the mind, biotechnology/neurotech, and wellness, or don’t want to stay connected with the world through my writing, it’s just that I need to focus my energy and attention on other aspects of my life. I’m also trying to take advantage of the opportunity to slow down and take some time for myself. I’m taking walks, reading books, doing yoga, meditating, and self-hypnosis, and doing things I enjoy that don’t involve a computer screen. It’s been nice to have some time for self-care and reflection and reassessment.
